The Main Distraction

In an effort to get myself away from crazy obsessive thinking, I took Max to Playa Langosta yesterday. I still obsessed, but at least it was on the beach with my main man. Here's a little greeting from my main distraction....

Max's third birthday is Saturday and he has his own obsessive thoughts going. He knows he is going on the pirate ship and that the pirates will be bringing him cake. And he won't stop talking about it. I'm glad he has his own distraction, nothing better than pirates to make life's problems disappear. At least for a soon to be "fwee" year old. (Though a little Johnny Depp in full pirate regalia would probably make my problems fade away too, at least for an hour or two or three....)

I loved the video! Max is such a cutie. Sorry to hear things are so craptacular....hope things work out for the best. I have a son (7.5 yrs) and am a single mom and he's uplifted me and gotten me through many a rough patch in life. I'm sure your little man will do the same for you.

I love the way he totally trailed off and started staring at the ship. He must be out of his mind with excitement!

He's such a cutie-pie!

Johnny Depp in any regalia would ease a woman's thoughts... Although I'm more of a whelp fan. That would be Mr. Orlando Bloom himself. :)

However. If we could all have what we want, I'd be gettin' me some Gary Dourdan! (Warrick Brown on CSI Vegas)

Kelly,
It's Julia from the bilingual families board (on that other site, ya know...) I haven't checked out your blog in a while so I was very saddened and upset to read that you've been going through such hard times. I am glad to see that you have SUCH an amazing support system, and am confident that you will get through this thanks to this support, precious Max and your smart strong self. I wanted to add my voice to the many offering you strength, love and support.
Take care of yourself.

GOD - he is so cute! I love the part about how he lives in Canada. :)

Hope you're doing ok- at least you can get out of the house and hit the beach. That has to lift your spirits a little.

Thanks one and all. Yeah, he's lucky he's cute cause he sure is a handful. And oh dear goddess is he tripping out about the pirates for his birthday, I think he might explode! (Or I will if I have to hear about it a million times again tomorrow). Hey, at least it's a motivator for him to listen to me, "No pirates if you don't pick up your toys!" is working magic right now.

Oh, and normally he does know where he lives, we were distracted by a recent conversation about Grandma and Grandpa. He usually answers the question "Where do you live?" with "Cancun, Mexico!" followed by the name of the street we live on and directions (a la izquierda, hasta al fondo, to the left, to the end). :)
