I have "known" Scott Bulger online for a couple of years now, mostly at CancunCare, a lovely forum I frequent that is a mix of ex-pats living in Cancun and frequent Cancun travelers. I have always enjoyed seeing Scott's photos, he has an eye for the details and the people of the Yucatan. Check out his main photography site, as well as his blog for some great eye candy as well as his advice and musings on photography in general. Scott was kind enough to send me a copy of his book a few years ago, I always like perusing (and showing others) his photos. Here's a sample of his work in Mexico, posted with Scott's permission (thanks amigo!) All of his photos are for sale, and not all of them are are his Mexican series, check him out!

Kelly, thanks very much for the spotlight! You are very kind.
These pictures are beautiful... it reminds me how close Guatemala is from Mexico, not only in Kms...
Scott, my pleasure, you know I love your photos.
Manolo- I have never been to Guatemala, but from everything I know, there are many, many similarities to this part of Mexico. The Mayans crossed all the modern day border lines and their culture is certainly a huge part of the influence on both Guatemala and the south of Mexico. Do you have any guayaberas in your closet? I keep buying them for Hubby because I think they are HOT, lol! I love seeing men in guayaberas, don't know why something so simple is so sexy to me. :)
